One question for you, oofff and the others: Do you believe in what Anthony Fauci says is the truth?
I don’t agree with every policy, but I don’t disagree that COVID should be taken seriously. Do I think it’s been handled perfectly? No. Not by the previous administration, the current administration, or Dr. Fauci. Some individuals have handled this better and some have handled it worse, and I believe the better suited ones are in charge now.

I don’t think asking what charge you were accusing Dr. Fauci of should be grounds for spinning into a rant against somebody but I apparently offended you. I appreciate your civility on this post.

Yesterday we were less than 40% of 2019 travel numbers! The majority of those passengers are leisure travelers who pay much less for their ticket. If Delta unblocked the middle seat before the end of May, they might as well set their prices to the same as Spirit.
It's true. Priced out the "fly for even less" travel option and I was stunned at how much they cost compared to other airlines.

When you realize the 1000% better travel experience Delta is with 1/3 of the bins and seats empty, I'm not surprised the business travelers like it. Too bad we can't make a profit that way.

Business travelers like it for the room and distancing like you say and........they aren't paying for the ticket. People paying for their own tickets are filling up our competitors seats. Business travelers are just like most people.....they want the absolute best if somebody else is footing the bill. IOW....I'm not convinced they are booking it for safety.

The other day we were at 70.

I have hard time getting positive space due to oversold flights.

Anecdotal, we have a few multi million milers in my hood. They are not happy about not being able to get seats AND the lack of inflight service compared with our competition.

you can squawk revenue premium all day, you cancel enough flights and you are gonna kiss that goodbye.

We got caught flat footed. From rampers all the way up, our personnel woes are going to hurt us this summer. Gonna be crazy.

If you know about it, management knows about it. Let them deal with it, it’s their problem.

And by competition, you mean United? I've ridden SWA and AA in the last month and their "service" greatly resembles ours.

Transcons and Intl. AA,, United, Swa and jet blue is what they're flying to compare. One guy is switching his travel accounts to JB.

just waited an hour on the ground for our gate to open. Reason given - short on personnel. We are not the only jet waiting either at least 4 of us.

Maybe management knows but they're not the ones facing angry pax who missed connections.

Summer is going to be crazy.

It is a bad look when the taxpayers give airlines billions of dollars to keep people employed and be ready when demand returns, to then not keep people employed and not be ready when demand returns. It's not just Delta, all three majors are way behind and don't have people current and ready.

Ya’ll seeing these numbers lately? 1.5M+ on both Thursday and Friday.

Anyone think we’ll hit 2M at some point before this 4th of July?
