Anyone doing cargo flights out of Chicago?[/QUOTE

True on the cyclic staffing issues even for the pure cargo side at times. Spikes, restrictions, overflow of cargo. JFK as well. Peak is always a mess, imagine international constraints/hurdles currently. Things change in flight, it’s just mind numbing.

The problem is the percentage has leveled out in the 40% range. The question is how long can the airlines survive these pax loads and will they rebound before then? I think the industry is in good shape with all the vaccine news coming out lately.

We have to quit comparing everything to last year. Last year was record breaking on all accounts. Delta was still making billions in 2015 when traffic was about 2/3 of 2019. If it takes us 3 to 4 years to get back to 2019 numbers and 6 billion in profit thats not bad at all.

I agree with this. I'd like it if they'd compare traffic/sales/loads to something like 'a rolling 5-year average'. We've had a string of 'record-setting' years, but this would at least set realistic goals and measures.

Good call. The 5-year average is a good idea. Still, congrats everyone on passing a milestone. Looking forward, the vector seems to be favorable for improving air travel demand. So that’s nice.

Going to take longer than 3-4 years for 6 billion in PROFITS.

Delta has taken on a heap big pilot of debt. All that debt servicing is going to be a drag on the airline for a decade, at least.
