It's rather humorous TED that you and Mx18 cite a Wikipedia derived thesis on the DOW. If it didn't matter, why does the world use it ? I guess it is like whatever you want to apply for the day. Do you hear yourselves? You and Mx19 just said the DOW is irrelevant. So all those investors, millions of them and trillions of $$$ are ignorant to what TED74 and Mx19 are pontificating today? Rrrrriiiigggghhhhhttt.
What's the saying?..."Tis better to keep one's mouth shut and be thought an idiot than to open it and remove all doubt."

The fact that you correlate valuation of stocks comprising an index to the relative importance of an index holding them tells me all I need to know about your financial analytic abilities, Colonel. In addition to "using" the DOW, "the world" also uses payday loans. How does this buttress your argument (?) that the DOW in isolation is important? I made a single comment about the DOW and provided some articles to read, since you asked and apparently were unaware of the dwindling prestige/significance of a severely antiquated index.

I pray that once I retire from this job, I don't waste a moment of my time as an internet warrior on APC. Of course we all get to choose how we spend our retirement, so you do you!

Was it Intel you worked as a USAF "Senior Leader"?

His wife is a hedge fund manager. Don't argue with him.

Phins is like the absolute worst of all Boomer stereotypes rolled up into one. It's fairly impressive actually!

Thanks, some of this stuff is hard to read, knowing shortly some of my young brothers are going to be outside looking in, with very few job options.

Back to the original topic. 1.1 million through TSA this Labor Day weekend, on at least one day?

877,698 for a Thursday which is a decent number. Won’t see any update until Tuesday now.
