I have no idea what the heck you're talking about regarding a thesis and being required to prove all sides. Do you think a scientific hypothesis is equivalent to what you were required to do in High School debate class?
Look, I'm sorry you're losing your job. I hope things improve soon, as I have a lot of friends on the chopping block. But it is not helpful to belittle science and pin hopes on disproven cures, many of them supported by people with poor medical backgrounds at best.

Not interested in jumping into the fray over the effectiveness of COVID meds, it's way above my head. But I'm pretty sure "disproven" is a word. If you want to refer to an idea that has been proven wrong you can say "disproved" or "disproven". Either is acceptable.
