It's really strange to me that so many pilots have no concept of life outside the US.
The issue the legacies are going to face is international travel restrictions. People in Asia and Europe don't care that anti-masker idiots think this is a conspiracy against Trump. All they know is that Americans have a huge, uncontrolled rate of COVID infections and they will NOT be allowing them access into their countries.

<61 >50. I solidly meet the criteria for the LOA and am happy to step off and free up a seat at the table for a UNA. My wife is a high earner. I have a very good military retirement as a retired senior officer and we have her medical and my Tricare.
As I said earlier, Best of luck to the UNAs. I've been there - twice. I know the feeling. Hopefully you can pull together as a group.
Pretty sure the group is not represented by the opinions of breezy, OOOFFFFFF, pop, Loureed and the rest. Cheers.

In the last two weeks, I've been in mainland China, Taiwan, Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, South Korea, and Malaysia.
Edit: Added a couple of countries I forgot I'd been to recently.

The death rate continues to plummet yet MSM refuse to acknowledge that fact. SMH.

Here's what a 2 second search on Google generated:
https://fortune.com/2020/07/07/coron...atest-numbers/
Perception with the world community is what's at issue now. This will be a roadblock to international travelers from the US until somehow the COVID rates are controlled in the US.
It's certainly not something I enjoy seeing, I'm very concerned about my job. I just wish everyone in the US would have taken this seriously. We could've been on the backside of this, instead of whatever this current embarrassing and damaging situation is.
Oh, and the death rate? That's a lagging indication. It will certainly start climbing.

In terms of death rate - your statement that it will certainly start climbing also makes significant assumptions about the current data. Depends on what this data set / trends looks like in the next 2 to 3 weeks:

Finally on perception - do not disagree with you, perception is often neither nuanced by data or based in factual analysis.

Disagree all you want. Americans (with a US Travel History) are not going to be allowed to travel internationally anytime soon.
