Because some of these assignments have been double 23K, so it most likely prevented some other line holder from picking up the WS or GS; thus saving the command money.

True. But my comment was directed by the fact the some guys don’t know if they even have a recovery obligation. When CS calls a guy and he’s 1,000 miles away because he misunderstood the latest memo/didn’t acknowledge a NOOP, his schedule says 23K but wait that’s just for pay purposes or he did acknowledge but it’s a Tuesday with a quarter moon — it costs money.

If the horse isn't completely dead, C16 put out a mimic of C20's bulletin.
Lots of "gotchas" are explained that can also help keep you out of trouble and ensure you still get paid.

To RS or not to RS...scheduling handbook recommends it...what do you all think? Like most I’d prefer to stay home.

There is nothing in OT that would qualify for a recovery slip since the credits are too low for my trip. I have a min credit 5day and the only trips are 1 and 2day trips. Does a recovery preference allow recovery awards to be precessed that would otherwise be ineligible under a RS? It’s all crap in OT but if I have to fly, does that at least allow me to have a little say in the matter?

I don't think so. Must fly 50% on a RS to fulfill your recovery obligation. At least that's what I can glean from all this nonsense.

I thought i read about a caveat for a first leg DH that is canceled and moved to a later DH.

Short story, i had a trip 23K. Picked up a 2 day for recovery flying that starts with a DH, day before, they leave a message that says the DH canceled, now fly a later DH to start the same two day. Is that double 23K?

Default Keep a Close Eye on Your Timecards

I noticed 2 of my rotations that have been 23K'ed (1 in MAR and 1 in APR) pay less than the bid package rotation guarantee. They are both labeled closed.

How long should we wait until we make the dreaded 2-hrs-on-hold call to fix their mistake and get the pay we're entitled to?

I was instructed to call Scheduling ASAP for rotation guarantee issues. Did it today with success on getting my time card fixed.
