Acknowledging message in MiCrew? Acknowledging message in iCrew? I saw a three day trip starting on the 5th go from NOOP to 23k (I understand 23k to be an obligation/pay thing). And another trip starting on the 15th showing 23k. I think what confuses some people is they can see NOOP or 23k and we are not sure of the difference.

Honestly I have hit the acknowledge button in MiCrew so many times and typed my password in iCrew, I cannot recall if I was "notified" or not...but I know I was not called. Is there a way to see if you were notified or acknowledged?

I think DWC nailed the problem, the fork in the road...I think a lot of pilots, junior and senior, are going to assume they can stay home and wait for a notification of a recovery trip with the 12hour relief.
Check out Scheduling Alert 20-04 from 18 Feb 2020...good info about when you have obligation to answer the company, when you have been contacted, etc.

The NOOP just means the trip is no longer operating. If the cause of the NOOP is covered under the definion of IROP (2.A.149), that is what drives it to 23.K

And "23K" on the monthly schedule is just a pay status code...it does not imply recovery obligation

I've seen you state this before...what implies the recovery obligation? How do we know the difference?

Honestly I cannot remember if I "was notified" or "acknowledged" the change of status, is there a way to find out? Should I call CS and just let them know because its far better to be able to sit at home until assigned a trip.

In 10 years when we get a new PWA, this obviously needs to be simplified. Between APC and Facebook there are probably 100 threads with 1,000 questions. It shouldn’t require a decision tree/flow chart.

The cynical side of me thinks this is the point.

The only way to be 100% sure of your recovery obligation status is to call either crew sched or MEC Sched Committee.

Normally anything that needs to be acknowledged will result in a pop on iCrew. I don’t know of anyway to for the individual pilot to see the acknowledgement on your schedule or the individual rotation.

In short, is my trip 23k?

Reg pilot, with either a nope or a change to your first operating leg (due to cancelation) prior to check in then yes 23k.

This x10,000!!! Yes, Jaww that is the point, nailed it. Thank you DWC...will do that.

Hence my sarcastic congratulations to ALPA and Delta for making something so simply into something so F$#%&@ difficult.

I think I understand enough now to keep out of trouble and protect my pay...ALPA has issued some memos and alerts, but they are falling miserably short in telling us "what we have to do" and "what we don't have to do". You gentlemen(women) did that. I don't blame the company, this is completely ALPAs responsibility and purpose. Whatever DTW has put out needs to get to all.

Cheers!...Bourbon time

How does the fact that pilots don’t know their obligation possibly benefit the company?
