I’ve flown with him. His wife left him thought he deserved the job because he was a volunteer firefighter with a masters degree. What do they say about don’t bite the hand that feeds you ? Karma man can’t believe he’d wish I’ll on anyone’s job I’m sure he’d find great pleasure in knowing id lose my house and my ability to support my family without this job.

There is arrogance and hubris everywhere. A very brief historical lookback will see massive arrogance at the regional level post 9-11. Not only towards mainlines/legacies, but to other regionals as well. SWA was flat out aiming for and bragging about putting at least one legacy out of business, and executing an extremely aggressive stratedgy to do so. LCC's were growing and upgrading pilots faster than others could process their impending furlough and looking to take part in the feeding frenzy post legacy collapse as well. I've heard the fake populist rumors of DL and AA being extra bad evil elitists, and I've yet to see it. It all centers around, anectodal at best and fake at worst, colloquial nonsense about a friend of a friend said this mean grumpy van admiral was mean and grumpy to them this one time.
The fact is you are attempting to justify the post in question, which is completely indefensible in any context, says everything about your point of view anyone needs to know.

Several guys in my parents' Sunday school class growing up were DAL guys. Classiest guys ever.
And then there was the "7-6 CAPTAIN" in our neighborhood. He had a painting of himself in his DAL uniform at the top of the stairs in their house. There's always one who has to live the reputation...
