But tell me more about how nobody is hurt by age 67..

BS. If they want to raise the retirement age they do so for all pilots hired after today. It should neither help nor hurt anyone on the existing seniority list at any airline.
I'm dead set against and I'm 60. Would this affect max PBGC payouts if it were to happen(and I dont think it will)???

Boomers: born, raised and were the most benefited of any generation during arguably the most prosperous time in our country.

Also Boomers: I want to sit at the top of the pay scales until I die and also why don't millennials just pick themselves up by their bootstraps like I did...and by that I mean basically get handed the keys to an upper middle class existence.

Yes? No?
I also heard that Delta is selling their A350’s (as well as the recently acquired LATAM’s A350’s) because they aren’t happy with them. They’ll be buying the lower-paying 787.

I'm not passing judement, I actually couldn't care less if age 67 happens, I just happen to think it will not. But what in my post was incorrect?

Did you learn "new math" and ebonics in school. Is minus 10 plus 5, mo' better or worser for the guys trying to screw you?

Well, actually nothing was factually incorrect with your post. Adding 2 years(67) to the 5 years(65) sounds like a windfall when presented "factually" as you did. The only rub comes when its put into context. Close to 10 years of the kick in the nads contracts re pay, retirement, QOL etc still looks net negative from some perspectives. Like I said -10 +5=-5.....a net negative.

I believe a little more than 1/2 of what I'm saying....but think the perspective needs to be stated and "pondered"

OBTW....I don't care either. If extended, I'll stay. If not, no tears. But if it happened and I stayed, I'm not sure I qualify as a Boomer like CBREEZY describes it.

Well, first of all, were hiring around the theoretical maximum we can possibly do, so slowing hiring is false. The problem was due to gumming things up, we needed to do it earlier, but optimization. Whoops.

Second... 67 isn’t even a fart in the wind except for a few guys’ fantasies.

Um, this rumor is sick. My best friend's sister's boyfriend's brother's girlfriend heard from this guy who knows this kid who's going with the girl who saw Steve Dickson pass out at 31 Flavors last night. I guess it's pretty serious.
