Just because you don't like what he says, doesn't mean he's a management mouth piece. SF asking you for facts isn't an attack. I've been at odds with SF quite a few times and he sticks to facts and does it without any real naming calling/deragatory remarks. I'm glad he still posts on here.

I am confused by this too. So basically if I understand correctly Delta will proceed with this plan as long as it’s possible to implement it by Summer 2020 with minimal training impact. They will hold off if the staffing of MSP isn’t funded by the attrition from NYC/ATL, which I do believe it will be. There are a few 88A displacements from MSP that are on the 717 in NYC and DTW. So I think this is a slam dunk for them.

(emphasis mine) (also, I don't know why it's huge)
I'm really confused by this. Are they opening the base or not? I kinda understand that they can use the full 210 days to decide exactly when to open it, but the way it's worded it sounds like they're going to wait and see who bids for it. Can they do that?

I think I get it now. I was under the impression that once a position was posted on an AE, it had to be filled if someone bid for it within the bounds of freezes and seniority. I guess there's nothing stopping them from changing the plan after people bid for it and they can see how that would affected training plans.

All the years you have spent on the forums is starting to take its toll. I didn't mention a thing about total pilots hired or things being horrid, all I said was I was disappointed in this AE and the fact that we are a domestic narrow body airline for the most part. Perhaps you should go get some help with your dependency on this forum. Try more family time and get away from Delta while off work...
So someone calls you out on something and you attempt to walk it back and then when called out on THAT you refuse to respond to the question in an insulting way?

Big difference in what you are discussing. Age discrimination is illegal. The pilots your discussing had retired and were no longer employed by those airlines under the law at the time of retirement. Many did go back to work at airlines as new hires under the new law. Telling pilots currently working that the new age is 67 but we are going to discriminate against you when you turn 65 is completely different.
How exactly do you intend to write this law. How will it apply to all the airlines out there with different contracts?
Age 67 is not happening or even being discussed so it’s all a moot point. Pilots on message boards are the only ones pushing the issue.
