True overall... he sticks to what he thinks are facts. However, it is common said facts are up to and including very incorrect. He does keep it generally classy, which is a very good thing. He did create an alternate account at one point to agree with himself, though. Not exactly black and white....

So I think this is a slam dunk for them.
Yeah, but they can’t award the qualified 717 guys in other bases who bid to msp 717 on this bid before other, senior pilots who require the full training course. Right?

The positions can't be filled by a junior pilot. However, if they can hold it and are already qualified they can convert sooner.

I'm really confused by this. Are they opening the base or not? I kinda understand that they can use the full 210 days to decide exactly when to open it, but the way it's worded it sounds like they're going to wait and see who bids for it. Can they do that?
they will open it if the people they want to bid it bid it

I think I get it now. I was under the impression that once a position was posted on an AE, it had to be filled if someone bid for it within the bounds of freezes and seniority. I guess there's nothing stopping them from changing the plan after people bid for it and they can see how that would affected training plans.

Perhaps you should go get some help with your dependency on this forum. Try more family time and get away from Delta while off work...

So someone calls you out on something and you attempt to walk it back and then when called out on THAT you refuse to respond to the question in an insulting way?

How exactly do you intend to write this law. How will it apply to all the airlines out there with different contracts?
Age 67 is not happening or even being discussed so it’s all a moot point. Pilots on message boards are the only ones pushing the issue.
Easy. Keep age 65 retirement, even if allowed to fly til 67. Insert a pilot paid for week long physical at pilot's expense (toughest in the world) with MRI's, radioactive dye stress tests and a massive cognitive battery of tests that last days. If, after all that, they prove they are superman/woman then fine they are eligibile for rehire at the bottom of the list. Easy peasy.
