That said the difference between the 757 rate and the 7ER rate was only a couple of dollars. In the end, the company conned to union into continuing to accept a substandard 767 rate by banding it with the 757 rate. A win? Hardly. The 757 rate is about where it should be relative to the fleet and the 767 is probably 15-20$ low.
The only reason back in that time frame the 767 rate seemed low was the 737N/767-400 agreement signed prior to openers on the 2001 contract. Before that agreement it was right in line pay wise. We argued that the 73N and 767-400 deserved the pay bump based on greater efficiency over our current aircraft so hard to argue in the 01 contract they needed a bump to get near those rates.

I would love for Delta to do this for selfish reasons. I'd love to vacation down there on DL metal, not a zed fare.

In case you haven’t heard, gross weight is considerably less on new airplanes with more capabilities and the A321neo is the new 757 but at a much cheaper operational cost. The 752 and the 763 pay exactly the same. Yup we should get paid more fore a more efficient airplane doing the same mission. And it will be another year before we get a deal so add a 4% annual raise.

The 767 and 757 replaced three pilots with two.

The 321 requires three pilots. The third is there to say "Guard Your Heading"

Are we only going to be paid based on pax count and range? Slippery slope "removing" gross weight from the equation. The 75/76 pay "banding" was done almost 20 years ago and was a "win" for us. They used to be separate.
IF DAL bought a 380, it would have 600 seats on it. You are delusional if you think they would waste one inch of space for bars and the like.

And considering how we think the 777 has too many seats........

Lost me. But that’s not hard to do. The A321neo will pay what we negotiate. We better negotiate current 7ER(757) rates plus. Even better would be a WB rate for the 767-300ER. Not sure why the formulas used decades ago for removing personnel and weight apply.
