I’d have to ask how long you’ve been here. I don’t feel like going into the long discussion about the clause we gave away which resulted in a stellar rate for the 737 but I’m sure someone will give out the long version. As for the 767 paying 757 rates, you have it reversed the 757 pays 767 rates.

[QUOTE=TED74;2909278]I know this will never happen. But it seems to me that in our sector, pay (if pay must be tied to something concrete-ish) should be roughly tied to the number of lives one is responsible for delivering from point A to B.
Who transports more lives from point A to point B in an average day? 767 pilot flying one leg every other day, or 717 pilot flying 3-4 legs every day?

717 flies 110 lives x 1 hour x 5 flights
767 flies 230 lives x 4000 miles x 1 flight
717 flies 110 lives x 500 miles x 5 flights
This is one rabbit hole after another. And Sailing, 80kts, and Contrails (and probably others) make very good arguments on efficiency basis aka CASM. Where do we yardstick next? PRASM?
We get paid what we negotiate...
