I would say when the production line shuts down, but we love aircraft like that too.

Really though, it doesn't matter. We aren't really any more likely to never have them either. We have decided we love as many categories as possible after all.

Kind of like when we beat American to be the launch customer on the MD11!

Now that’s a plaque to hang on the wall:

We beat American to be the launch customer of the MD-11!

And then parked them 13 years later.

When (if) they're on the ramp in Delta colors, with trained Delta pilots. Until then, rumors a-gogo.

The way some guys talk about the 787 ... reminds me of that woman in the news that recently married a 737.

I just want 787s so I can stop hearing every person I fly with talk about how other airlines can make them work every time we taxi past one. Same with “there’s no money in cargo” every time they see a FedEx airplane

Can someone give us the origin of “there’s no money in cargo” to the uninformed among us?

It pops up because after the merger DAL shut down the fNWA cargo operation/base in ANC around 2009ish.

The strange obsession with the 787 at Delta is an interesting phenomenon. It is a beautiful looking jet though.
