.
IMHO she is upset because they didn’t listen to her. Her ideas of how SMS should be run, her ideas about safety, her ideas about everything.

If I was our CEO, I would get a court order that she is not to contact me directly. I would also say that what she is doing is borderline harassment.

I have to watch a SMS video every CQ cycle. So to come extent we are compliant.

Kathy if you’re reading this—get a hobby. You are literally making yourself look insane.

Yup. We've all seen these sorts before. A toxic personality with an agenda ("safety" ideas, or the DPA, or a cult religion, etc), who is utterly convinced that they and they alone have "seen the light" and if only (!) the rest of the lemmings would see things their way , we'd all happily be transported to a better place. Absent that, stand by for a whole lot of unpleasantness as this toxic personality goes on the agenda-driven warpath.

It’s in the DPA E-mail under the following link: CLICK HERE to read the letter to Ed Bastian requesting a meeting.

June 3, 2019 she’s contacting him to continue to badger DL about their non compliance with SMS.

I agree with most all on the subject and people involved. My intent was not the subject but the lack of ALPA to post any of this matter to the dues paying pilots. Why must I hear this news from DPA?

Here’s the link to the letter she wrote to Ed one month ago.

Wtf?? Like at this point she’s just badgering our top dawgs while they’re trying to run an airline. Lady seriously needs to get a life. If I were Ed, I would seriously get a court order that she is not to contact me. Especially since if he doesn’t respond she will probably find another reason to sue him.

Wasting our companies money, our top guys time, and just making herself look like a complete nut job. Find a hobby lady.

At what point do you just **** and be thankful to have a job? Yes Karlene, please let us fly our entire board of directors in so that you can whine to them about how our checkrides aren’t hard enough and our SMS isn’t up to your standard.

Having been here through the near death sentence from the faa subsequent to events culminating in the 1141 accident in dfw i can say there are meaningful and productive ways to implement positive changes in this organization.

Her letter represents none of those options.

Because there is ongoing litigation and any lawyer worth their salt would have advised all parties involved to not make any public statements in relation to the case. DPA is just observing from the stands like we are.

M comment on this issue from another thread:

"After reading that, I would have pulled her from the line for mental testing as well. Why? Bc she’s as senior as it gets and decided to make a mountain out of a molehill by going so high up in the chain with pretty baseless accusations, ie no safety reporting? She mentioned a few “incidents” that could have been worse and while correct, we were trained in each CQ cycle as well as safety bulletins, etc. regarding them. Based on her blogs and books, it’s obvious she wanted(wants) to build a name for herself. The fact that she is going after management pay for lack of interviews for a position is galling. She knew this would only lead to problems and if she didn’t than she doesn’t have the SA that I want in a pilot upfront. She should have been filling out ASAPs and FCRs on her NRT layovers, not running from department to department screaming “fire” where there really is none."
