I’m not so sure about that, what makes you say that? Has there been a recent change to the windscreen and winglets on the A321neo? The ones out there flying around currently only have a engine change and a new wheel braking system compared to the A321ceo.

You may be correct.
“”The Airbus A330 program saw a decrease in deliveries. Only 49 A330s, including the first three A330neos, were handed over. It emerged last fall that Rolls-Royce had fallen behind in Trent 7000 engine deliveries, thus delaying A330neo production. Airbus received only 27 orders for the A330neo.
Boeing’s “structural advantage” in twin-aisles is conspicuous when comparing the A330 to the 787, Aboulafia says. The former’s backlog is just north of 240 orders, which Aboulafia likens it to the total orders the unlucky McDonnell Douglas MD-11 garnered. The A330neo is “haunted by the ghost of the MD-11,” also a reengining program, he says.””

The 787 is beating the pants off the 330neo because of the Bank of Boeing. Hopefully the neo engines will hold up better than the 787s have, there are still a lot of gliders parked around the world.
