Can I go to that expo at the museum? Or do I need to meet certain criteria before being able to go?

They’ll post requirements but it’s more important you register the moment registration opens. Follow Delta Air Line Pilot Recruiting on Facebook. They will post all the pertinent details on their page and they are usually the first SM group to post when registration opens. In times past, all the eligible slots have gone in less than an hour. They typically have several hundred slots available so that tells you how many people live by their computer leading up to the opening of registration. If you don’t get a slot at first, stay tuned to their page as they will reopen slots for those who have to cancel in the weeks before the expo.

The route you have layed out is a good plan, many have met success with it. It is also a popular path so it is highly recommended to do stuff outside your role as a line pilot. What stuff you ask? Doesn’t matter, do stuff that interests you: work, fun or charity; try to take a role of responsibility and put it on your app. No kidding, you coach your kids football team, put it on there, part of a magician society, put it on there(if you’re allowed, I have no idea if magicians allow that).
What makes you different will get you the interview and the job.

All good info. I’d also recommend that put off Army training until you consolidate. But then it’s all about fly, fly, fly. Don’t just focus on one over the other. I’d make sure to fly enough at the regional to move up there as well. You want to be able to upgrade asap. Your “A” time is much better than co-pilot time. Same for Army. Get your advanced quals ASAP. There’s a good window for the airlines. But... you want to be as far out on the front of it as possible. Seniority is everything. And I mean everything. So go all in. Bust your ass and fly, fly, fly. Upgrade and fly more.

ENJOY the Bro...Loved it!!!! Build time and keep App up to date w/ DAL. But before submitting App make sure it's been looked over by a service. Too many sit and wait for a call that will never come due to a crappy app.
Good Luck!!

It is such a fun airplane to fly, hardest type rating I’ll probably ever take but worth every night without sleep. I’ve my app ready(I think) I compared it with my Delta pilot mentor and looks pretty sharp. Still I’ll pay for a service to go over it also will pay for a prep service to get squared away.
