Time and a half that far above ALV would be a huge concession. Nope nope nope.

^ THIS!

I am very junior line holder in very undermanned category in NYC...we haven’t had a positive day of reserve coverage in last last 5 months.

I work weekends....lots of them. Can’t drop them because of the lack of coverage. Some senior guys are getting 4-5 GS per month.

I was able to secure 1 x GS the entire summer.

Bid a catagory where you’re more senior. The key to GSs is to be available when they are assigned. That’s code for QOL.

No one is complaining about their lack of GS. All I said is that just because Pilot A can’t have GS #2 before all other available pilots have a crack at GS #1 doesn’t meant that GS are distributed evenly. That assertion was made as an argument against 1.5 above ALV+7.5, and the way it was asserted was misleading.

Yes, if you are unhappy with your GS totals, bid to a different category if it will help. That’s the beauty of working here, there’s basically something for everyone.

I agree! ALV+7.5 is way too high. Either at ALV or 75 hours flat.

I’m also all for holiday pay too.

Time and a half for holidays, and reserves will never get called on Christmas ever again.

I’ve been at an airline (B6) that used to do extra pay above X hours.....
You think guys gobble up WSs, and are “flying *****s”....wait till you see a place where there’s extra pay for working above X. :/

I am for current GS system, but adding Holiday Pay - and improving Rigs.
I’ll tell ya, Holiday Pay really takes the sting out of flying a trip over holidays

Thanks for the bidding advice.

The point still stands about Trip’s Comments....yes the contract says everyone gets offered one before you get attempt number 2, but being available for the first one is the tough part, as your stated.

Seat lock, swap board, put trip on open time as “Q”, can’t PD, hell I couldn’t even APD during the entire summer, and I have about 16.9 hours of pro-rated sick time....I’m paddling the row boat as best I can, but still can’t make myself available on the weekend for the greeny.

In a nutshell, this was how we did it at NW vs the GS. Right? Green slip is here to stay.
