That’s pretty much every career field. Why do we even have pharmacists today? My daughter went into nursing because she said surgeons are going to be replaced by robots. She’s probably right. I guess we should all apply at TSA and try for that third stripe...

This shortage of pilots will only serve as the impetus behind the acceleration of automation that will reduce the number of required crew members. I don’t think it’s as close as some think, but it’s coming.

So what you're saying is: we should all become robot makers

That may be true, right up to the great EM pulse. Don't throw away your twisty-turney can openers.

Robots make those already. AI figuring out how to design, engineer, code, etc. Tech jobs are evolving fast as AI figures out how to replace their makers. Cuz cost savings.

Doctors and accountants are probably the most at risk to full automation. Any type of career that's heavy on rote learning, and algorithms. Aviation is still way down the list. Some tech company, like Amazon, will be the first to try single pilot, then foreign carriers.

I program machine learning applications for the media industry, I'm also very active in that sector, I know where the tech is heading. These technologies are desperately needed in the third world, where they will emerge first. It's already in extensive testing.

Doctors.... Rote learning? You are on crack. Funny to read some of these posts and wonder how you became pilots. I guess the standards are not so high.
