The 25 July Ops update said there were 231 unfilled positions that could be offered to new hires. I have been over the award several times and the AE announcement, but I’m left scratching my head on which positions those 231 are. I have friends that held CJOs before the indoc classes for July and August were cancelled. Does anyone have a rough breakdown or ideas on which positions went unfilled or where to look for that info?

The companies point of view on the SIL issue is also posted in that update. It does of course have a slightly different take than the union version. SIL’s for Sep were going to be 45 hours.
The update also provides a excellent review of pilot hiring.

So what? Who wants a SIL for 45 hours of pay when they can have a KLOA for zero. Thank god the MEC saved us from ourselves. Loving the great work MEC is doing for Delta pilots QOL!!!

I don't want either. And I'm glad my category won't be shrunk for the month so it's less likely I'll be used on reserve. And some line holders junior to me and other elective reserve pilots will be glad we're bidding reserve so they aren't stuck commuting to reserve themselves. I'm pretty happy the SILs went away as long as rotation construction stinks WRT QOL.
