That’s Dave Puddy iirc

You're not going to get bought off for ioe as a captain. That's the only reason I can think of.

I could possibly have held on to 717A out of NYC, but I couldn't hold Capt anywhere else off this bid. Had Crew Resources put the 10 additional slots they said they were going to put into NY, I may have held onto 320A. It makes sense though for many of the senior 88 F.O's that had to change to might as well throw in for Capt now. Also the 88 Atlanta guys same situation were senior to us, so displacing to NYC made sense. The crazy thing was the were more Capt slots open then were being displaced, but the thrash of 88 closure exposed a lot to potential secondary displacements. It would have been nice, I guess, If our contract had some pay projections for mandatory displaced folks, but sei la vie. My seniority will bounce to almost 50% in the company in less than 3 yrs, so it will all be good for me and everyone else like me in this hiring wave. I suspect we will be a little more fortunate with our career, than many on this forum in terms of stability, pay and upward mobility. I'm thankful for the time I've had at Capt. And those before me that kept delta around with their sacrifices.

Getting a 777 guy to bid 767 for a type so they don't have to pay for his training. Poor reference to the history of bending rules in Foxborough.

SA,
I would bet you’ll be reinstated to NYC320A sooner than you think - if you want it. Worse case, you get the 330 type rating then go back.

I gotta say, I've been on the 330 since the first quarter of 2013 and it has been fantastic! (Even though I've been very junior in my base)
