With the continued drawdown of the 88 category, anybody at the bottom of a category is at risk for a while.

Is this true in ATL as well? I have a shiny new 320B seat waiting for me. As I'll have no seat lock, I was planning on moving to either 330B or 320A as soon as possible. I was leaning 330B for schedule and lifestyle, but I assumed that I would be leaving a fair amount of money on the table.

I hear guys in the lounge talk about "not wanting to take the upgrade pay cut," but 717B to M88A sure was a nice pay increase for me.

Closer to the bottom of the NYC73ERB list, but that was due to a lot of guys junior to me going to DTW and LAX.

No displacement, so I'm cool with it.

Do have a question though, looking at crew resources AE debrief, they elected not to fill the previously advertised 320A captain spots in NYC. Wouldn't these quite possibly have prevented nearly all of us that were displaced from having to change jets and retain our spots? Just a question, first time moving backwards... well sort of. Cheers!
Once you get over the loss of a stripe, you will love it. Several of the FOs on the 330 used to be narrow body captains and bid back after a few years. Don't sweat the hourly pay loss. The trips are more efficient and you will earn more money per day of work. If you live close enough to GS, you will actually make more money than a 320A for less days at work. Instead of filling out new hire probation forms, your paperwork will consist of a break schedule and meal choice. I spent a few years on the NYC330 and the NYC7ER. You will get spoiled, just don't become fat and lazy.

Yep, commuting to NYC 717 equals suck!! Unless you like trips starting at 5am on day 1 and ending at midnight. Then it will be awesome.

Anyone else notice that they back filled every single NYC765B spot even though CR said they didn’t anticipate backfilling any spots due to excess staffing? Amazing how plans change literally on a weekly basis (if not more frequently).
