Yup.....the MD/VD churn meant that they didn't have the ability to train 10 more. Remember, in a posted AE/MD, the Company can always elect to award/displace less than posted (never more) and they seemed to do so with the NYC A320 A category.

Count yourself lucky.....320A to 330B is a decent move. Lots of pilots senior to you moved way farther back (NBC FURL) at one point. Welcome to the majors and their cyclical corrections. 😁

Not exactly what you asked, but much easier to figure out...

Most senior ATL88a MD'd: 11,411
Most senior NYC717a MD'd: 11,928

So the most junior guys are just above the two most senior MD'd pilots.

So did any May 2015 hires get displaced off the MD88 Captin?

Do have a question though, looking at crew resources AE debrief, they elected not to fill the previously advertised 320A captain spots in NYC. Wouldn't these quite possibly have prevented nearly all of us that were displaced from having to change jets and retain our spots? Just a question, first time moving backwards... well sort of. Cheers!
They did not fill those spots because network moved the flying at the last minute. If you live near NYC you will make more as a 330B.

It had nothing to do with training churn. In the entire bid the only unfilled spots were the 10 A320 A in NYC and 24 350 A slots. Both were due to last minute changes by network. It would have reduced training to not displace those pilots in NYC.

No more memory stick. I read recently, they will start using LMS soon.

They all did. The line was drawn somewhere in April 2015 I think

Thanks for the perspective!
