In regards to profit sharing. I am a little worried. Profit sharing is amazing, I love it and I hope we get it forever. But eventually, it’s going to come down, heck there may be a year within the next 5-10 years were we get zero. I am worried that we as a group have come to rely on it a little bit as part of our pay. That’s why I believe that contract 2019 has to be a really good contract with good work rules, benefits, and good pay, a solid foundation to hopefully continue descent profit sharing checks but be ok if they aren’t as good
I don’t want to have to work harder than I want to just receive a larger profit sharing check in feb. I would rather work less, make more money all year round, spend more time with family, and then celebrate with a little extra in feb.

It doesn’t, but when the company says they have put 19 percent more away this year than last year, that amount includes their money too. They are getting a lot more this year. It is however not at our expense.

Other then a select few, any change to profit sharing is a non starter. Anyone that understands the industry knows this. Advocating any change in the company’s favor is self serving and/or moronic.

To summarize if the economy tanks profit sharing will go down. Maybe even to zero but unlike regular pay rates it will automatically spring back up if Delta makes money.
Any reduction in profit sharing needs to be an automatic no!
