So I followed all your steps exactly, and everything looks good until I get to the last step. Mine does not show the reinstatement check box anywhere... It's also just called Advance Entitlement Preferences, and doesn't say reinstatement anywhere.

Does it have something to do with still being in a seat lock? Or do I have to be MD'd before I get the option to say yes or no to reinstatement?

On a related note is there some kind of iCrew tech support I can ask about this?
If you go voluntarily you have no reinstatement rights, therefore no box to check. Only MD.

If you have not been displaced yet I don’t think the option shows up as you have nothing to be reinstated to. The next bid the option would be there if you are displaced.

1) You have to have been MD'd to get the box; and

2) Per 22.F.12.a, your conversion to your MD category must have occured within 6 bid periods of the earliest conversion for the now posted vacancy in the category you were MD'd from. Otherwise you are ineligible for reinstatement and you won't have a reinstatement "box" on your AE bid preference page.

I pretty much learn the contract one painful mistake after another. Nothing like learning the hard way.

I'm working my way through those mistakes right now. Currently learning about how you can't swap two trips of the same length over different days because of reserve coverage. I never thought that would even be an issue since I'm not flying any less, but live and learn.

A lot of airlines have bad day/worse day so if the days that you're swapping for have worse coverage than the days you're giving up it allows the trade. Not here though!

You are know you screwed up royally when the union PBS bidding guys still use your decade old December bid as an example of how not to bid around the holidays

Thanks for the correction! For some reason it's never worked for me. I'm not the brightest though.
