Dang...i thought you only brought your seat lock if you used your first captain upgrade stipulation. That sucks you bring it with you for new bases too. I couldn’t do the 717 bid package anymore and the 320 is so much better...but I’m not gonna pass up a captain upgrade! It just might suck getting a 3 year seat lock on a plane that we don’t know what the trips will look like!

I am recently qualified in 717B as of just a couple of months ago. And now 320B. If i were to get awarded 717A, and attend training would these same rules apply (would i get a short requal course or an entire full course?).
Also, if i were awarded 717A (and break existing seat lock with first time captain upgrade) then my remaining seat lock time would be added on to standard 2 years correct?
Versus If i were to be awarded NY C10A, i could break my seat lock because it is a new base...And that remaining seat lock does not come with me?

Excellent point that i hadn’t considered. Probably displacement fodder for anyone going to C10 NYC towards the plug position.

Did just that as an F/O 3 years ago. VA was maybe 5 days, mostly sim. OE requirement was not many hours, but I had to do 2 theaters and trip lengths made it more hours than really called for. Waste of time as I had gone years on ER to a widebody and back, never leaving the theaters or Boeing FMS/ Nav procedures. The whole thing was rather painless.

However, an award to B717A as your first Captain position would incur 24 months plus any remaining freeze you might have.

So I followed all your steps exactly, and everything looks good until I get to the last step. Mine does not show the reinstatement check box anywhere... It's also just called Advance Entitlement Preferences, and doesn't say reinstatement anywhere.
Does it have something to do with still being in a seat lock? Or do I have to be MD'd before I get the option to say yes or no to reinstatement?
On a related note is there some kind of iCrew tech support I can ask about this?
