I respect your opinion, in all your posts 80...
That would be great outcome for the A's....what about the mid level 88B's??? This AE is a disaster for them.
Regarding the 90's....biggest POS ever designed. It's coffin cornered at 30k on a good day. Wish they would retire those totally and keep some 88's around. Unfortunately not the range of the 90s

Disaster is hardly an appropriate description. From 2007 through 2011 I went to school for the 88, 767, 73N, and 320. Some shuffle is what you deal with when junior, and that is universal to all airlines.
Besides, those 88Bs should go out and see what flying an airplane that was actually planned out is like.

The company is going to need to balance a potential snowballing avalanche of training due to 2nd/3rd+ order MDs with the current overstaffing situation in certain categories. Just 1 hypothetical: a senior MSP88a displaces ATL320a who displaces ATL717a who displaces NYC320a who displaces ATL7erb who displaces ATL88b (or whatever hierarchy works seniority-wise). 1 guy getting bumped creates 5 training events, obviously a contrived example but better odds than some oddball domicile like SLC getting a new plane this bid... 
At some point I'd imagine the company will determine it's more beneficial to have a few overstaffed categories vice an exponential training nightmare. If the company chooses the training route, it could put a damper on hiring which in turn means GS city next summer when we don't have enough pilots to fly the line... So many possibilities here!
edit: btw, have they loaded the CS100 into icrew yet? I was trying to get a count of people in front of me and I am getting a message that "cs1 equipment is not valid for base"

This bid showing the need for 1034 positions that are vacant now. We are over staffed according to the latest news but seeing that and conventional wisdom shows we need about 1000 new pilots through next June. Add in early retirements and the Big D needs bodies just like they have said.

I agree. I quit chit chat years ago. Emailed ken and had him cancel my account. Now review my posts. I don’t create chaos. But I have dealt with some whiners in the past few years. Whining b/c they didn’t hold captain while still on TOE. Whining b/c they were on the 7ERB in Seattle as a new hire. Claiming that they should’ve been made a captain.... well you get the rest. Never heard any of my peers from the 1999-2001 timeframe ever say anything close to that.

If you are a recent hire (within last 3-4 years) the LAX 777 and DTW 350 are unobtanium.

The fact that someone felt it is worth pointing out that the A350 and 777 in DTW can't be held with 4 years seniority seems to indicate it's been quite good to me as well. Airlines have gone longer periods than that without even hiring.

I may be misunderstanding, but on the last displacement pilots did displace into categories without openings without the company then displacing pilots in that category.

Is it possible you don’t hear whining because you’re not flying alongside all your peers day in and day out? I don’t hear any of my peers whining either, but I have no doubts some do/have. On the contrary, I’ve only heard my peers say things akin to feeling very fortunate to be here and have the opportunities we’re afforded and much of what many of you have spent years fighting for. As with anything in life, stop lumping an entire group with the few bad apples out there. You become blind to reality.
