But, but, but...there is definitely a pilot shortage

Dear crew resources,
Please refrain from posting any more newsletters and updates with fancy words that pilots can’t understand as they are nothing more than fake news.
Also please save the company money and don’t do any more base visits
Love,

Exactly! I don't know if it's intentional... and it doesn't matter anyway. If we don't get reliable and complete information, we can't count on any of it.

Regarding the 90's....biggest POS ever designed. It's coffin cornered at 30k on a good day. Wish they would retire those totally and keep some 88's around. Unfortunately not the range of the 90s

C’mon man, I admit it is a little disappointing (as published) time will tell, but “a disaster?” You do realize many of us went backwards for years and many were furloughed, so disaster might not be the best description.

So what are we suggesting here? Is it that if marketing> crew resources can't come up with a guaranteed plan then they should put out NO information?

I have another solution. If you think you can't trust the information, then don't read it. But please put out the info and let those pilots with personal "filters" on their information the opportunity and insight to get the best picture possible at any given time.

Unless you think they purposely lie to us just to see the knash cluster that developes? If your opinion is that low, then I suggest a divorce from the Delta family.

A more succinct question. What logical explanation can you contrive wherein Delta intentionally or unintentionally puts out bad info?

I think this is reading too much into people’s reactions. No matter how one breaks it down, at a minimum, it is pretty remarakable the disparity between what the company forecasts compared to what actually comes to fruition in the CR department. For most people, I think this sort of leaves questions about the level of decision making going on. It is my opinion that CR uses the 365 day conversion window against their own wishes to hedge against Marketing’s constant changing of plans to insulate things a little on the CR side.

Dumb AE question.

New Guy (7 months on property), NYC 7ER

With my seat lock, I can only put other ER bases on there, right?

Now for the displacement bid, can I put anything I have a prayer of holding there, if I get MD'd off the ER? Doesn't have to be things with a vacancy at the moment, say if I get displaced off the ER, I could say to 73N ATL provided someone junior to me is holding it?

You can put in an AE preference for anything you want. Let them say no.

And as a general rule your AE and VD bids should be identical.

With an MD, you can displace to any seat someone junior to you is in — with no freeze.
