Yeah....I never thought the bus would go as junior as it did.

Anyone know what month will be the first month for MSP 330 based trips? How long after the AE does it take to convert people over to a new base?

That’s entirely up to the company. I’m guessing it may coincide with the delivery of the first A330-900’s which doesn’t occur until next year. Strictly a WAG from me.

Do they have to convert in seniority order or is it possible that NYC/DTW/SEA/ATL 330 AEs could get converted earlier despite being junior to MSP330 pilots?

Conversions that don't require training could convert sooner.

They convert similarly situated pilots (training vs no training) in seniority order within their respective category. A junior MSP 330 pilot could be converted before a more senior NYC 330 pilot and that would not trigger pay protection because they are in separate categories (NYC330 and MSP330).

Also, MDs and AEs can be on different conversion timelines without triggering pay protection - i.e., a junior MSP 330 who was MD'd into the category could be converted before a more senior MSP 330 who entered the category on an AE and no pay protection would be triggered.

So hypothetically, NYC 73N's with AE's could be converted before MSP 73N's with MD's?

Thanks! That answered my question.
