Default New Hire Bases and Equipment?

What base do most new hires end up at? And on what equipment?

Also I saw in another thread something about a high last-4. I assume this means your SS#, but what is its relevance?

Thanks,

Check here first....

Yeah. 9999 last four of social picks first, 0000 picks last within your class offer. The above thread shows what the classes were offered and sometimes the order of how they were chosen in the class.

Thanks, I didn't understand what any of the stuff in that thread meant, but I'm starting to figure it out.

I don't guess they ever flip it and go 0000 to 9999? I was hoping I was going to be in the first 30%, not the last 30%. Do all majors use this method?

LOL don't count on them flipping it. With all this movement if you're wanting to get hired the plug in class is a mind blowingly phenomenal opportunity. I wouldn't stress it.

"the plug in class" is the new hire class? Basically you're saying if you get in, be happy and let the chips fall where they may?

In the next twenty, junior manning, fences, base closings and openings, increases, decreases, and a force maj. thrown in for drill, your place in class will be a just a distant memory. Stay loose and enjoy a great job.

That's exactly what I'm saying.

They use last 4, higher is better. That's the extent of it. Show up and get what you get. Its a fantastic time to get on.
