It may get a lot of things including additional interest from airlines. The only thing that matters however is additional orders. So far in that regard the interest is severely lacking. There will come a point when the plug has to be pulled on the program unless orders and a bunch are forthcoming soon.
Thank GOD I know how to operate a 1960's overhead panel...May never need to learn how one works in 2017.

I have to say I agree. I think this will go down as the airplane Boeing killed. The US gov't is their lapdog, and will apply pressure wherever and whenever to make sure this jet doesn't get any substantial traction. Sadly, I think we've ordered an Edsel.

If the C-500 is the sacrificial offering that it takes to put a stop to the crony ME3/NAI nonsense, it may well end up being worth it. Of course we could end up with nothing and BA end up with everything.
As for BA getting a retroactive ex post facto 80% tax imposed on a competitor though, LOL good luck with that.

Not sure who's the wh0re in said bed, but you get the idea.
Boeing has killed so many Air Force dreams, it's insane. How did they kill them? Only Boeing and our (much richer) government officials will ever know.
Will Boeing get 80% to stick? Probably not. But I hear they are only asking for 79%...
If it ain't Boing, it's probably a legitimate business. Or that's how I understand that catch phrase.

The Canadian government has some sway with Hornet orders but I have a feeling Trump has a major boner for Trudeau. He'll impose the tariff just to stick a finger in his eye. Per Ed's 15 minute video, it sounds like Canada is the only country to have the political will to stand up to the ME3, perhaps they'll get some traction here.

Boeing's spending on DC lobbying is around $20,000,000.00 annually. That's about half a million per seat in Congress. That's more than 10X ALPA-PAC. Support ALPA-PAC, we need to be in the fight and we really need to do more.
In 2015 Boeing raised their average spend by about $4m to fight us on Import/Export Bank

535 total members (Senators and Reps)
$20,000,000.00/535 = $37,383.18. That is a far cry from half a million.
