Correct. Air Canada agreed to trade them to Boeing as part of a larger 737-800 MAX deal. I think we are talking about 20 used airframes.
Just think about this conceptually: Boeing offers the airplanes to Delta because Boeing doesn't have anything comparable to offer Delta in the desired seat range and now Boeing claims their sales have been hurt by an aircraft in the same seat range. Plus, Boeing was likely offering the beat-up E190s at a cheap price just to get them off their books. Boeing claims to be hurt by something they can't provide. That makes ZERO sense.
I do believe this is far from over. It's annoying and the proposed tariff is ridiculous. I am hoping that Delta proceeds as normal with the CSeries as they prepare for the next round. The threat of a trade war between the US and Canada is looking more likely and maybe an agreement can be reached to prevent one. This is very political, and sadly, a lot of US jobs would also be in jeopardy.

Thanks! It looks like Boeing shouldn't have stopped production of the 737-600 or they should release a 737 MAX 6 to compete in that segment.

The ITC is also corrupt, so expect the DoC ruling to stand, or the tariff to actually increase.

If Boeing were to acquire BBD, the Cseries would get 5,000+ orders within 6 months.

That's what I'm saying what if it's all a ploy by Boeing to bankrupt Bombardier so that they can acquire them for cheap? I think you're right that there would be 5,000+ orders within 6 months if Boeing were to acquire Bombardier.
