Hey 747Flyer - no doubt every airplane has pros and cons to it. Based on your initial sim training on the CS100, what were some of your initial thoughts about it vs other airplanes? Any initial impressions to share?

About 16 instructors and LCPs have qualified on it now. I was impressed with the thought that was put into the cockpit and systems design. Guys who have flown the Global Express in corporate flying will recognize a lot of its cockpit technology. It seems to combine the best of Boeing and Airbus flying qualities with the very latest flight deck (I haven't seen the A350 yet to compare). The head down PFD is laid out almost identical to the HUD - Flight path based flight director.

is the FD in the c-series the 2 circles style FD, a la GLEX hud? I much prefer that style of FD to the airbus style of FD that is displayed for the bird...

I have a few friends who fly the Global 6000 and they are fans of the ProLine Fusion system up front. Yeah, it ain't like flying the aged MD88 or 757/767 no more... Welcome to the 21st century!

Yes. Smaller than the bus, but folds open to reveal a qwerty keyboard. Shown at 2:25 in this link.
