Why do the plastic HUD housings exist with no HUDs on your planes? Looking at internet pics, there are plenty that don’t appear to have it. Is this a delta specific thing or just the way they manufactured it?
Also, are there adequate footrests? I assume there aren’t drop down footrests a la airbus...is there just a small fixed piece of rubber, or none at all...hard to tell...
How’s the cockpit noise...louder than an A320? Do you guys take headsets off above FL180?
Thanks

The footrest is a strip of rubber at the bottom of the display. Not nearly as nice as the A320 but it’s adequate.
The cockpit is VERY loud. The loudest plane I have ever flown. The 320 is much quieter. Some guys still want to take headsets off above FL180 but I think that will change.
I really like the plane but the 320 was a quieter and more comfortable cockpit.

The HUD housings are terribly annoying. I don’t know why we have them and don’t have the HUD. From what I understand, they will not be there in the 300 series planes.

Hmmm I find OO better than anyone else in our system. But I'm on the left coast & can really only speak for that part of the OO network. Maybe they're **** east of DEN.
