As a guy who has been doing “hard” time on the 737 fleet I have a few questions about the 220:

Will the toilet seat stay up?
Will a 5’11” Pilot occasionally whack his head on the overhead?
Do the sun visors actually block the sun?
Will a 1950s trim wheel try to occasionally take out my knee?
In cruise does it sound and feel like 2 guys in phone both during a hurricane?
Does it come equipped with the fancy luggage works bag shredder destruction device?
Is it possible to dispense paper towels 1 at a time or do you have a choice between 20 or more or less than 20 but ripped to shreds?
Is the intercom rubber band powered?
Is the Lav sized for human beings or hobbits?
Does it offer the same Seat position options as the 737s? Full Fwd with recline or anything other than full Fwd with no recline?

I know I am missing a few - feel free to add to the list.

Boeing’s motto with the NGs is apparently Airlines will buy them anyway so why try.

The paper towel holder is poorly designed. What is a "Trim Wheel"?
The sun visors are from the Winnebago parts bin.
The lav is large enough to practice interpretive dance, one has a window.

In a VNAV descent do you get an option of plus or minus 30 knots?

They'll still be 50 and 76 seats, that's only because the government requires this size to hold market share at some airports. Delta is evaluating the CRJ550 right now, they don't like the numbers, but they don't have a choice, unless they want to get back into turboprops.

Here is my crystal ball. Currently the RJs are about half 50 and half 76 seaters.

While some places will only ever justify 50 seaters a couple of times a day, there will be a decided shift to 76s servicing a lot of the current 50s routes.

Further, a lot of current 76s routes will be up gauged to A220-100, and flown by the majors.

Airbus will not crank up A319 production, they want that space for the A321 demand.

Furthermore, Airbus wants to sell more A220s - all series.

Check back in 5 or 10 years to see how accurate my crystal ball is. Historically it has very good accuracy.

To be fair, we are changing all the intercoms to the hot mike ones. Apparently they are waterproof and pilots have a habit of spilling drinks on the intercom panel.

You missed "Does VNAV account for having to level off, or does it treat crossing altitudes as more of a guideline than and actual rule?"

The paper towel one is spot on though.

How about when it finally decides to add power when you're slow, it adds too much and makes you high and fast?

If we're REALLY being fair, we seem to be changing the jumpseat comm panels first. I guess that's the easiest one for maintenance to swap out? Surely the one on the overhead isn't a spill threat. I may just start pilot monitoring from the jumpseat instead of up front, so I won't need a rubber band anymore.

Is anyone surprised drinks are spilled? There's a single cup holder per seat. Choose whether you use it for the cup or the can - can't hold both. Was this also a problem in the 60s, or did that single slot used to meet the crews' needs?

There was no cockpit service in the '60's. (F/E) Everything came in those cruddy white plastic cups.
