That may change with the NEO, but also remember the A220 was a clean sheet design for efficiency while the B737 is the same nose as a 707 and the A320 series has been around awhile as well.
Well, that's even more impressive for the A220, I wonder how the 300 and the rumored 500 will stack up.

As a side note, check out the MIT data for the other aircraft operating costs.

When the 300s start arriving I expect them to operate more out of the connecting hubs Vs the coastal hubs. After Seattle I expect dtw to be the 4th base

The -300 will be an exceptional B73N-700 replacement

Considering how many of those we have, I don't think it fits as a 737 replacement. Also, there is no such thing as a B73N-700. You're mixing bid codes and aircraft types.

We have 10 of the Boeing 737-700 NGs. I stand by my statement.

There is no reason to replace the -700’s. They’re relatively new and are common with the rest of our 737’s.

The 300 is more likely to replace the 319 and the 737 700 long term those are older and seat the exact amount.
If bombardier can release the 500 model then that will replace the 737 800 and 320 long term
The 321 neo will replace the 757
The 339 and or 797 will replace 767
The 350-1000 will replace 777
And then you are left with the bastard 737-900 fleet
