The 757 is a fairly high CASM aircraft, that's why the 737-900 and A321 exist so it's not the best comparison. The A220 apparently really is just that efficient anyway, and yes, including the A321 and 739. That may change with the NEO, but also remember the A220 was a clean sheet design for efficiency while the B737 is the same nose as a 707 and the A320 series has been around awhile as well.

The 300 is more likely to replace the 319 and the 737 700 long term those are older and seat the exact amount.
If bombardier can release the 500 model then that will replace the 737 800 and 320 long term
The 321 neo will replace the 757
The 339 and or 797 will replace 767
The 350-1000 will replace 777
And then you are left with the bastard 737-900 fleet
