I don’t know how accurate it is, but I’ve heard that the claimed A220 fuel burns are only achievable at low cruise speeds (low to mid Mach .7x). If true, that’d hurt this plane’s long range performance, no? All those extra minutes/hours spent at slower cruise speeds on long flights add up, and just to transport ~100 passengers?

The SW 10K lists the lease agreements to 2025. Delta then has the option to buy, which I doubt will happen. The A220 is cheaper over a decade than buying the used 717.

100 or less Md88 gone by 2020
53 md 90
91 717

21 more 737 900 to be delivered
60 or so more 321 to be delivered

115 of the 757 fleet left to retire by mid 2020
100 321 neo with 100 options starting to come next year
On the domestic front it’s definitly a gain
767-300er 56
330 neo on order 35
747 gone 16 (I realize there were much more at one point )
350 15 by next year and maybe 10 more
Big X factor is the 797 to see if we have long term international growth or if we stay stagnant or shrink

We have 116 757s. The fleet is slated to stick around until the mid 2030s but we should have 116 of the 757s through at least 2022....latest projected chart I saw only went through then

One of the fleet newsletters a few months back said in 2030 we will still have all of them but 10 or so (757) if I remember correctly...so basically one retiring each year. Not sure about the 767s.
