They can serve a ton of marketshare simply by flying through and overnighting as needed. Marketing runs the show, not flt ops, and they will shift fleets by the second to literally save/make a penny. Hotels are a very minor cost compared to new category free-for-alls and displacements.

Type Tating Nomenclature
What is the type rating called for the C- Bus?
I recall that changing a type designation is unlikely after initial certification, so I’m guessing it’s a BD- something or a C-whatever.
The Saab 340 was initially developed in partnership with Fairchild. When it became a solo Saab program, the company desperately tried to call it the S 340. They succeeded in labeling some in-house manuals as such, but the official type designation remains SF-340 to this day, the F of course represents Fairchild Aircraft, which I believe is long-gone. I don’t think the certification authorities would even allow a “dash” to be deleted ( or added) . Not sure there was ever an effort to change, but I believe the Boeing 717 is still a DC-9 on pilot’s certificates.
This is just an idle curiosity, just as I’m curious about Delta’s intentions for internal reference and public consumption. Has A220 been officially adopted? I still see quite a bit of CS reference, so I’m not sure.

Yep.
From what I've seen, it's a mix. Fleet page is titled A220, some of the documentation/manuals say A220, but some of the documentation/manuals still say CS100/300. I'm guessing those will be changed to A220 in future revisions.
