Definitely seems like an insider. As to the financial gamesmanship that's over my head.

SWA in ATL has been one of the best things to ever happen to DL.

I heard that we were absolutely elated when SW bought AT. AT was here anyway, and was a true ULCC at the time. SW rolls in with 130 seat pilots making more than our whale/777 pay and became a far more rational competitor. The results since then speak for themselves.

He speaks the truth. Kind of like keeping them Fat, Dumb, and Happy. In my case, the first two out of three ain’t bad.

Also, here's what Bombardier says.. (marketing stuff but still):
"Powered by Pratt & Whitney PurePower PW1500G geared turbofan engines specifically designed for the family, the CS100 can connect distant airports with its 3,100 nm range and best-in-class airfield performance. Using a takeoff field length as short as 1,220 metres, the C Series is ideal for hot-and-high and city-centre airport operations; in fact, the CS100 and CS300 are the largest aircraft able to operate in the constrained environment of London City Airport. From such challenging airports, the CS100 has a built-in advantage."

I don't think so, LGA has lots of runway, 7,169 long. We have flown the 767-400 out of LGA.
