See for yourself! It's one of the # limitation items for takeoff. I was thinking the same thing... crosswind limits are actually quite low for takeoff overall with 20 knots stead and up to 26 with gusts below 4000.

You do? I see Vref speeds in the high 120s to low 130s. I usually go with at least 5 knots higher. I may be the only one here, but I doubt it.

If you look closely its max "unrestricted" takeoff crosswind 5kts, 4000'+. See SP.7 for restricted takeoff procedure. Its basically a partial throttle advancement until 20kts GS. Restricted takeoff crosswind max is 30kts.

How big is Delta's wallet? I'm sure that number is a teaser. I flew another Bombardier out of a 4k MSL airport and we hit 38 knots every other week there. This is most likely a pay for play game. "Hey, il fait frais if you buy these planes for chump change, Delta. We know you like cheap deals. The devil will be in the details!" BBD knew Delta operates out of high locations. Now, to make the planes "capable" of doing it, Delta must...how do you say this in Francois?...Oh, yes..."ouvre ton portefeuille!"

And if memory serves, this may have been what our T/O procedure was, but it's been a while.

Ahhh, I was wondering what that meant. Thanks!

Thats the way it was on CRJ, standing vs rolling vs static. Different wind directions and speeds required different takeoff procedures. Good eye!
