Sure, it's an easier commute, but it's a 0600 sign in and a 2000 release. That turns most 4-day trips into 5 or 6.

I was not, but I'm guessing you are thinking of the anomaly of the first group of pilots bidding to the aircraft to hopefully get trained and then sit and get paid until the airplanes actually show up.
I have no doubts that that will also happen with the CS100, but after that first wave it will go junior for FO's. I see very few people bidding to the 717.

When I am airlining as a pax, I will try as hard as I can to fly a routing with the Bombardier "C". I think I will like it better than any other aircraft, except for the 380, 787, 350, 777-300 or the 767-400. Between the "C" and the E-175, Delta has the best single-aisle aircraft.

Oh ok, I googled it. There will be 3-4 flights during SXSW next year. Still really cool that Delta is bringing international to Austin. Hope this is the way of the future. Also, seems like a good time to Non-Rev going against the flow of traffic. i.e. go to Amsterdam on the return leg at the start of SXSW and come home at the end of SXSW.

The only upside to bidding it as an LCA is that your entire pay will be at the 777 over-ride...............
Every flight from now until doomsday will be an IOE......
NOT worth the extra $$$ IMHO!

Again, my mantra was always, "don't bid small categories or new aircraft". Unless you're in the top 1%.
Small category, one's flexibility is limited.
New airplanes, the company usually has no clue how to use the aircraft for a couple of years.

Really??? I think most initial 717 pilots would disagree.
