The latest council 66 communication talked about dfw as it relates to Aeromexico also. However, it seemed more like an alternative to the JV flying than the plan.

Also, if the company was panning to fundamentally change the way we fly to Mexico and it involved DFW, they would probably be wise to delay putting out the word as long as possible. That could explain the relative radio silence.

I'm not convinced this is the plan. AA owns DFW, and SWA is a huge player over at Love. UA is huge in Houston, and Latin America. I know we have some loyal DL folks in the Lone Star State, but we're a distant 4th, at best even if we expand.

Will the CSeries be certified for ETOPS at some point? Considering it's got the range to do Hawaii and Great Britain, and LA and NY are front runners for the first base...

Random day of Departures from SAT. I'd say we are closer than a distant 4th in that market. AUS is similar. AUS/SAT VB isn't out of the question.

They were saying the Cseries was an RJ replacement, but with its performance extension, comfort, and versatility, it will likely become a point to point growth aircraft. It is low risk, as the cost was less than an RJ, provided it isn't a hangar queen.
