Bombardier was just too obvious. No sales. Bailout by the government. Dump. Still no sales. Caught.
Btw this was a jet that required twisting arms to get Air Canada to order them. It might perform but that's not all that matters.
Not sure if Trump would want to be undercutting Brexit so I don't think a trade war was the desire on their part nor do I think the administration has that kind of control over beaurcrats. See cucked FBI for details.
This was just poor management since the launch of the program.

Regardless, the CSeries is up and running and both SWISS and AirBaltic are happy customers with Korean taking delivery of their first CS300 shortly.

The threat of being able to swap CS100s for CS300s evidently sank the argument Boeing can't be hurt by the CS100 since they don't have a competing product.

Delta would have to post a tariff bond in the billions to get the plane online. For a company that buys used aircraft to pinch pennies, I highly doubt they will tie up the money, equivalent to an entire fleet of other aircraft, for the Cseries. If the Cseries is finally at Delta, it will take many years to sort this out, time that Bombardier doesn't have. As sailingfun points out, the plane needs orders to survive.

Dont know more than anyone else, but have loose connections with a couple 4th floor types. They seem supremey unconcerned about it.
Whatever the pilots, Boeing and/or Bdr think, Delta seems to think there is no change.
Im a pilot, I dont buy planes. Not gunna sweat it either way.

My bets:
The C-series happens, as this tariff thing wreaks of the loud noises that the current admin has done with near zero actual action. Lots of show and big talk and then move on to the next thing to yell about without actually doing anything. That will be good for us.
I spent some time in the fixed base trainer today... that thing is AWESOME! It straight up looks like Boeing and Airbus got together and mixed the best of both of their worlds. Bravo, Bombardier.
