Default DL to order almost 150 additional NBs?

From Puget Sound Business Journal:

Delta eyes big late summer order; analysts don't like Boeing's chances
May 19, 2017, 5:00am PDT

Andrew McIntosh

"Delta Air Lines may issue a request for proposals in August or September as it weighs 74 orders for either Airbus A320neo or Boeing 737 Max jets, plus an extra 75 options on more planes.

The multi-billion dollar order would be a big win for Boeing and its 737 plant in Renton, where 10,000 workers build the jetmaker's best-selling new 737 Max jets."

Nicw to see a move to further simplify our fleet.

I hope they choose the A 320.

I really hope they don't choose the 737. Time to let that hunk of junk die on the vine and for Boeing to put their big boy pants on.

I'm guessing, based on the urination match Boeing wants to get in over the C Series purchase, that the 737 has about a snowball's chance in hell.

What is so appealing about the 737? Other than a potential deal on the airframes? They keep stretching it and utilizing an overhead panel from the 60's along with no ergonomical improvements.

It needs to be the NEO. Commonality with the C-series P&W Geared Turbofans.

And it began service before most of the pilots here were born.
