There were many of us who simply wanted to be left alone. Others who wanted to do all the Covid stuff, have at it. The Country fell apart when those mostly on the Left just couldn't handle people like myself having zero fear of the Vid. And altimately couldn't handle people like me simply conversing over FB with my extended family about DJT. They had to chime in like they were somehow the perveyers of truth and were going to change my mind or something. While they were triple masked and standing on stickers like morons.

The astonishing part is those on the Left are just baffled why half the Country can't stand the other side. It wasn't the Right who tried to take away jobs, keep schools closed longer, and issue cards to move about the Country. But after Omicron, when the gig was finally up, the Left wanted a pardon or amnesty and then decided it was time to just get over it and move on.

The botched handling of this will taint good public health efforts for a long time. But nowhere is it stranger than those defending the putative value of gain-of-function research.
