Out of your mind with the masks
I fly United mainly due to where I live. The last couple of months have been painful, but my last flight was the worst. Flight attendants ignoring basic tasks (assisting with seating and luggage) while chasing down kids for mask non-compliance. Wondering up and down the isle during flight bothering people because a nostril isn’t covered. We were boarding and several elderly people were confused as to which seat was theirs, and were clogging up the isle while the flight attendants are at the back of the plane with a baggy full of masks, yelling at the parents of a crying child that didn’t want to put a mask on. It has become absolutely insane.

Maybe fly your own airline? United management’s position is very clear regarding masks and the vaccine. Utilize your personal freedom and fly an anti-vax carrier….if you can find one in the U.S.

I haven't seen it that bad, Mikeey, but I agree it needs to stop. The incessant talking on the PA and reminders and threats of legal action are obnoxious. I don't know how the other airlines do it but it needs to be toned down. A lot.

I hadn’t seen it that bad until recently. I was amazed at how basic flight attendant duties were being ignored while they are running around the plane with baggies of masks harassing everyone. It must have been the “woke special” flight I found myself on unfortunately.

Definitely. Bookings are significantly down for September due to delta concern….imagined or not. Unruly pax are significantly up…mostly the anti-vaxxed/masked crowd. United, nor the rest of the world needs you anti-masking on our aircraft.
United made a decision to go with the pro vax posture. That’s how it is. Deal with it or find other options…

Don’t really have to prove anything. United management’s position is crystal clear. Our management and MEC have been more right than their peers regarding the virus and the numbers support that. We will be 100% vaxxed in a few weeks and won’t miss you non-revving.
Not debating the science of the vaccine or masking…that would prove fruitless. But United’s position should be clear. You have the right to choose…..that’s what you wanted right?
