Personally for me, it does the opposite. If someone I cross paths on the street who puts their mask on well before we get close or if someone raises their voice an annunciates rather than pulling their mask down and lean in to talk it makes me respect and connect with them much more easily. It shows they are aware of things going on in the world and respect strangers enough to inconvenience themselves or check to make sure the other person is comfortable being close or unmasked before making someone feel unsafe or uncomfortable. You never know someone’s risk, or experience or level of comfort with it so starting at the top feels more “human” to me. I feel a greater connection and ability to work with or interact someone like that rather than someone with an exposed nose, or chin diaper, or pulling it down to talk or cough.
I’m sure y’all are eager to call me a wuss for that but I think there is something to be said for the positive human aspect of masking as well.

Doesn't make you a wuss. It makes you a science-ignoring MORON.

So you must have been that 40ish, healthy looking guy in Santa Clara a couple weeks ago walking his dog on a completely deserted street, on a beautiful, sunny, breezy day, wearing TWO masks and dragging himself and his dog into the street in order to avoid me in all my maskless, destructive glory.
Doesn't make you a wuss. It makes you a science-ignoring MORON.

He’s not ignoring the science. Don’t know about double masking but he’s just following health mandates and trying to be polite to others and to you by following the social distancing set by your community. He’s just following the rules. Not to mention he has a dog. Actually in this case you are the one that is very special... not him.
B) Even the most onerous mask mandates in the US pay lip service to the notion that masks are only required outdoors when social distancing cannot be maintained. Wearing a DOUBLE mask while walking a deserted street isn't "polite" or "following the rules." It's a virtue-signaling special kind of stupid.
C) And I feel sorry for that dog since his owner DRAGGED HIM INTO THE STREET to avoid another person when there was absolutely ZERO risk of transmission in that setting. Which do you think was riskier behavior in that circumstance? Walking alone on a street without a mask or veering into a street with a dog while cars are driving past?
D) I wouldn't live in California if they paid me double so it wasn't "my community." Unlike drone pilots like you, we have to experience the lunacy all over the country.

A) He's totally ignoring the science. Do you have ANY clue what the ACTUAL SCIENCE says about outdoor transmission rates? Oh, wait. I forgot who I was dealing with.

He’s dragging the dog to comply with mandates, not because of science. You don’t comprehend this? He’s assuming you follow rules like he does. When he saw that you’re one of the special ones he got out of the way. You can do whatever the hell you want, just don’t call the guy a moron for doing what he’s supposed to be doing right now. He cares about his fellow citizens, he’s not an anarchist. If you don’t like the lunacy in CA then stay in your hotel room or better yet don’t go at all.
Hilariously, the CA governor doesn’t even believe his mandates, as don’t a number of citizens there.

Simple fact is, you are a gaslighted soy boy who drinks the statist pablum while remaining convinced of your moral superiority.

What “rules” say you should wear a mask *outdoors*?
I’m not talking at a concert or rally, but passing each other on a sidewalk.
No science supports that. Does it hurt? No, but it also isn’t necessary.
