If I recall, RiddleDiddle, you didn't want lockdowns nor did you want to wait for vaccines. You didn't even think vaccines were feasible.
That obviously wasn't true as distribution and recovery are exceeding expectations. Care to amend your statement from last summer?

Where did I ever say vaccines were not feasible.

First of all it was said by Fauci that he had no problem with you making your own mask to walk around back in March. Look it up, this is how I know you have no clue. Their only concern was medical grade masks. Second, if you actually take out your personal bias and look at what was said you’d understand that it’s all non sense. According to Fauci, they did not know that as many as half the population could be asymptomatic. All of this was before this was considered a pandemic and there were almost no cases in the US. The context was that they didn’t want panic buying, at no point did they say they don’t work only that it was NOT NECESSARY AT THAT MOMENT including benefit since it was low cases. The part about them worried that people would misuse a mask doesn’t mean they think it doesn’t work! It just means they know the public is ignorant of masks so they’re pointing out potential issues with using them. When the CDC had the proper information they implemented masks. Anything else is complete spin.
Lockdowns came before masks, remember? Why were we shutting down society if we weren’t worried about the virus then?
man you are thick.

Tell your friends that it isn’t a Bill gates mind control injection so far. I think if more people were willing to get vaccinated there would be fewer people like me and 400k

Texas is fortunate to continue to have low cases. But as you know, outbreaks are typically regional and can change quickly.
Hopefully the vaccine can outpace the next wave.

The biggest issue, in my humble opinion, is the shifting goalposts on causality and outcomes WRT COVID, with seeming little regard for the ACTUAL science.
Everybody talks to talk about “full vaccination” as though two weeks after the second dose is completion of a marathon achieving 90%+ efficacy at preventing symptomatic disease (the Stage 3 trial benchmark, IIRC) but what about that CDC study that says two weeks after your first mRNA dose you are 80% protected from *infection?*
This is the kind of thing that needs to be shouted from the rooftops, because media equivocation over the last few months had always centered on “we don’t know if vaccines will prevent asymptomatic infection”. We now know they are very effective at doing just that due to “the science” and this needs to be publicized to help ease vaccine hesitancy and frayed nerves.
So much talk about what “we don’t know”, but when we *do* learn know something due to a rigid scientific trial, why not pivot immediately? We’ve had evidence of this from Israel and the UK, but even now it gets precious little attention here...
Insulting and belittling people in an effort to shame into compliance or desired action doesn’t work - this is abstinence education with a respiratory virus. Meet people where they actually are and try to PERSUADE them from a perspective of understanding using science. You won’t convince everyone...but you’ll damn sure get more.
Public health messaging this has sucked, so bad, as exemplified by its parroting (and misunderstanding) on this and other forums.
