I end up with 1.809% in the US, using 30,500,000 cases and 552,000 deaths. That doesn’t count unconfirmed cases and it doesn’t count people that didn’t get medical care but died from causes other than COVID.
According to the CDC there were 56,000,000 cases of Flu in the 2020 season, with 62,000 deaths. .1107% using the highest numbers in the range reported. About 16 times the fatality rate of influenza.
So now I guess you’ll argue that there are 10 times as many cases that aren’t confirmed by testing, but a few weeks ago everyone was saying cases don’t matter because testing generates false positives.
Assumed infections vary by time, testing levels and community. Early in the pandemic when it was in Wuhan, there were 7 cases for every confirmed case. That of course doesn’t manifest till 6-21 days later. Cases that result in death don’t get reported till an average of 28 days after infection (from the last thing I saw which is admittedly old now).
I’ll gladly do the numbers for the 20/21 flu season after April to compare. Since social distancing and mask wearing are futile, we’ll surely see an average flu year right? I’m only talking about lab confirmed flu tests.

The IFR is 15x higher for 65+ than 50-64 group.

Not to be rude but it appears you haven’t really thought about this or done any research. Under the current system absolutely no one cares about Indiana. The votes don’t matter at all to Democrats since they will lose the state. They also don’t matter to Republicans because they know they will win the state, so it doesn’t matter if they get 50.1 or 99.9 of the vote. Under a popular vote system every vote would matter equally. Under the current system the dems can win by taking their normal states and a few of the flip states. So really, unless you live in a perennial battleground state, no one cares.
The system we use now was not designed and in fact was disliked by the founders. States decided to go all or nothing during the JQA and Jackson election (IIRC). Only two states, *Nebraska* and Maine actually work the way the system was intended. Representation regardless of population is built into the Senate, on purpose. It is not built into the presidency, for a reason.
I cease my thread hijack.

F up that badly and clearly you shouldn’t be president. She did crush him in the popular vote. Not as much as Biden but no one knew how dumb he really was,

I would bet I have you beat in not only age, but many other abilities.
And if this place can’t lighten up from the BS, arrogance and obvious lack of wisdom you’ve been spouting you do need a meme.
But maybe you can’t find the inset image frame or need things “s’plained’ to you the old fashioned way.

That .000001% would save 300 american lives. So, again, yes. I would. Also the “just the flu” argument was disproven ages ago. It is 10X more fatal. Also, what inconvenience or HARM especially does it do?
So by your logic if accidents happen then why don’t you just speed, run stop signs, drink and drive and not wear a seatbelt? Also these are all just ridiculous whataboutisms and attempted gotchas.
Also, good job on calling out Omaha state, my dude. You keep on rolling with these debate zingers.

Chance of you having virus - maybe 3% at any given time? So the other 97% of the time you are blowing healthy air through your cloth virtue signaler. So now you are down to saving 9 American lives with your logic, still WAY to high. Based on what we know about disease transmission, you have to be around them for at least 15 minutes standing in their personal space - how many people a day do you do that with? I can go on and on here, but I know I am wasting my time.
As far as the Infection Fatality Rate for Covid-19, your "experts" estimate about somewhere between the 84 million people and 150 million people in the US have had the virus, and we have 550K deaths in America - so realistically, an IFR of between .5% and .3%. where the flu is about .1%. So not 10X. And not counting that 60% of the deaths from COVID-19 are in people over 75, and of course the whole dying with vs. dying of COVID thing we have going on.
Still waiting for you to post that actual number on the effectiveness of the mask though - when I do a risk assessment, I like to have some idea of the effectiveness of the mitigation, even if it is a guess...

Yep. Fail. We ended up with a sub 80 IQ guy, reality TV host, that declared bankruptcy multiple times while running casinos and paying off porn stars. So, yeah I’d agree she f’d up.

Memba that really unnecessary “war” Hil and Barry started in Libya? WTF was that all about?!
No, Hillary lost because she’s a really terrible person and most people outside of the sycophantic coastal cities knew it.
They may not have known who Don really was, but they knew Hil.

Listen, son. I’m sorry if you have no virtue but even with all of your logic fallacies and willfully ignorant claims, the end result if that if everyone did it that lives would be saved? Sorry you would be willing to kill the elderly and retired (aren’t you in that risk category? Also it can kill the healthy and young). But I’m not. And all it takes is wearing a human decency signal on your face and not being selfish and cruel.
