Your motto is "I got mine, get off my lawn."
Pathetically selfish. Divided we fall.

Not at all. My motto is 'you do your thing and I'll do mine, and we won't force each other to do what we don't want to'. It's called being an adult, try it sometime.

No it’s not.
You are responsible for someone safety in a pandemic because your actions of doing your “own stuff” puts others at risk. You don’t get to tell someone to stay home because they’re following mandates, wearing masks and following guidelines. You have no say. At all. That’s why there’s all this talk on here and frustration, you’re in denial of reality.

You babies think freedom means "freedom from responsibility." It does not.
When did America become filled with such entitled pricks?

I end up with 1.809% in the US, using 30,500,000 cases and 552,000 deaths. That doesn’t count unconfirmed cases and it doesn’t count people that didn’t get medical care but died from causes other than COVID.
According to the CDC there were 56,000,000 cases of Flu in the 2020 season, with 62,000 deaths. .1107% using the highest numbers in the range reported. About 16 times the fatality rate of influenza.
So now I guess you’ll argue that there are 10 times as many cases that aren’t confirmed by testing, but a few weeks ago everyone was saying cases don’t matter because testing generates false positives.
Assumed infections vary by time, testing levels and community. Early in the pandemic when it was in Wuhan, there were 7 cases for every confirmed case. That of course doesn’t manifest till 6-21 days later. Cases that result in death don’t get reported till an average of 28 days after infection (from the last thing I saw which is admittedly old now).
I’ll gladly do the numbers for the 20/21 flu season after April to compare. Since social distancing and mask wearing are futile, we’ll surely see an average flu year right? I’m only talking about lab confirmed flu tests.
