So.....just invert the colors to be intellectually dishonest? You’re neglecting gerrymandering, voter suppression, and the dramatic shift cause by the results of the last Republican controlled government. If your voices aren’t heard then lobby more, focus on state and local elections (without gerrymandering), or more or secede. Plus aren’t y’all championing that you don’t want others telling you what to do? Seems an awful lot like you want to have the minority rule.
And about the silly helmet in cars question. I wore a helmet, flight suit, and fireproof gloves and often a respirator when I was Cropdusting even though it’s tough. I would wear a helmet motorcycling. And even in a car there are additional safety measures taken. But more on topic, I don’t speed, or text and drive and I wear a mask to be a decent human being and protect others.

I can understand a mask in a “closed” environment—office, store, restaurant; but you can not show where wearing a mask taking out the garbage alone while I drive by at 30mph; while walking alone across a parking lot; riding a horse; driving a top down car is saving anybody from any possible risk. It’s fear-driven theatre in those situations.

Probably. My masking crusade is probably just me trying to equalize my karma for the billions of bugs I’ve killed. But even then I’ve take the risk of turning around and landing over loaded if there were bees, pickers or too much wind at or near the field. I’m not saying we don’t do or take risks, but the mask thing just seems so easy with no downsides or reasons not to while this is still going on.

That .000001% would save 300 american lives. So, again, yes. I would. Also the “just the flu” argument was disproven ages ago. It is 10X more fatal. Also, what inconvenience or HARM especially does it do?

And I don’t get in others personal space and breathe on them for 15 minutes. So if you don’t wear a helmet because you are such a fantastic driver, then I don’t need to wear a mask. Just using your logic and all...

OMG it is not about politics for God's sake, it is about stupidity. I am NOT A REPUBLICAN and I think it is an absolutely TRAVESTY that we have destroyed the economy for generations, did untold damage to the education and psyche of a generation of CHILDREN, and continue to ruin business and industries alike (tourism, hospitality, food service) all for a virus that kills mostly the infirm and aged and at about the same number as a bad flu. Why do I have to be a republican in your mind to see how stupid that is? the absolute LACK of science around masks, lockdowns, and the calculation of the now mystical herd immunity? Why can't I be a democrat that has critical thinking as an ability?
